Staff Mobility
- Teaching periods: this activity enables teaching staff from higher education institutions or staff from companies to go and teach at a partner higher education institution abroad. Staff mobility for teaching purposes can cover any subject area/academic discipline.
- Further education periods: this activity supports the professional development of teaching or administrative staff of higher education institutions in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and work-based observation/training periods at a partner higher education institution or other relevant organisation abroad.
Participation Requirements
All lecturers and administrative staff of the Institute may participate, provided that they remain in service at the same Institute during the academic year 2023/2024.
A prerequisite for the award of any grant, whether in the field of teaching or training mobility, will be the submission by the mobility applicant of an invitation from the host institution and a work plan agreed between the institutions, which will indicate:
For teaching
- the dates of the course;
- the proposed teaching activity illustrated in the form of a short teaching programme containing the objectives, the added value of the mobility, the content of the teaching and the expected results;
- the objectives pursued and the expected results.
For training – mobility for training of teaching and administrative staff-:
- the dates of the course;
- the work plan;
- the purpose of the training;
- the objectives pursued and the expected results.
Duration of the activity
From a minimum of 2 days for EU countries or 5 days for partner countries, to a maximum of 60 days, excluding travel days. The teaching activity must include at least 8 hours of teaching per week. A training period can be added to the teaching mobility.
Support for staff mobility
The grant is obligatorily intended to cover the extraordinary expenses that staff members have to face for their travels and cannot be used for expenses that one would normally have to face even at one’s home university.
The grants are awarded for activities abroad in the period from 1 June 2023 to 31 July 2025. This period and the amount of the scholarships may be subject to change. They will be defined in the financial agreement presumably in July 2023.
