“Erasmus” Students

Eligibility requirements for the departure

The scholarships will only be awarded to students enrolled at the „F.A. Bonporti“ Conservatoire of Trento and Riva del Garda who meet the following requirements:

  • high school diploma (at the time of departure);
  • enrolled in the First Level Academic Diploma (three-year course);
  • enrolled in the Second Level Academic Diploma (two-year course);
  • recent graduates (traditional previous system and academic system) for internship only (the internship must be carried out and completed within 12 months of obtaining the degree);
  • must be up to date with enrolment fees.

Student mobility for study purposes

  • Each student may benefit from a grant within each cycle of studies for a maximum total of 12 months (minimum duration: 2 months or 5 days in the case of mixed mobility).
  • Each student may apply for a maximum of 4 (four) locations in order of preference.
  • Students participating in the Erasmus+ programme for study purposes must obtain at least 6 (six) credits at the host institute.
  • Students must sit the examinations for the subjects set out in the study plan (Learning Agreement) at the host institution. Any changes must be agreed upon with the host institute and the Conservatoire of Trento well in advance.
  • It is desirable that the student has a fair knowledge of the host country language or English (most partner institutions recommend CEFR level B2).

Mixed mobility (Blended Intensive Programmes – BIP)

A study or traineeship period abroad of any duration can take the form of blended mobility. Blended mobility involves combining physical mobility activities with a virtual component that facilitates collaborative learning exchanges and online teamwork.

Each student may also undertake mixed mobility activities by participating in a mixed intensive programme according to the specific eligibility criteria for such programmes under the Erasmus regulations.

Students who are unable to participate in long-term physical mobility activities for study or traineeship purposes, for reasons e.g. related to their field of study or fewer opportunities for participation, may also participate in a short-term physical mobility activity by combining it with a compulsory virtual component.

This type of mobility usually applies to projects that have already been defined in advance. Anyone interested is invited to contact the Erasmus office for further details.

IMPORTANT: It is possible to apply for a location that is not a partner of the institution; in this case, the Erasmus Office will request the establishment of a bilateral relationship (Interinstitutional Agreement), which is a prerequisite for participation in the Erasmus+ programme.

Online Language Support (OLS)
The European Commission offers online language support to students participating in the Erasmus+ programme.

At the time of publication of the call, the modalities have not yet been defined by the Erasmus Agency. They will be communicated at a later stage.

Study grant

Mobility grants are obligatorily intended to cover extraordinary expenses that the student must face in order to study abroad and cannot be used for expenses that the student would normally have to face even at his or her home institution.

The grants are awarded for activities abroad in the period from 1 June 2023 to 31 July 2025. This period and the amount of the scholarships may be subject to change. They will be defined in the financial agreement presumably in July 2023.

  • EU funds: The monthly amount of the grant allocated by the European Commission for the academic year 2023/2024, depending on the geographical area of the host country, is established as indicated in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide, according to the following criteria:

Group 1 – Programme countries with the highest cost of living – between €348 and €674 per month.(Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden)
Group 2 – Programme countries with an average cost of living – €292 and €606 per month.
(Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain)
Group 3 – Programme countries with the lowest cost of living – €225 and €550 per month.(Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey)
For traineeship mobility, an additional allowance of €150 per month will be added to the above amounts.

  • “Green” financial support for travel when using sustainable means of transport: 50.00 € as a supplement to individual support and up to four days of additional individual support to cover the days needed for the outward and return journey.
  • Conservatoire and MUR incentives: The „F.A. Bonporti“ Conservatoire of Trento and Riva del Garda will provide a financial incentive presumably of € 400 per month for students participating in the Erasmus+ Programme in the year 2023/2024, which will supplement the European Scholarship.
  • Incentives Opera Universitaria: Students included in the Opera Universitaria rankings and beneficiaries of the scholarship for the current academic year may obtain, as participants in the Erasmus+ programme, an additional monthly grant, which will be published in the 2023/2024 call for applications. For further information, please consult the relevant Opera Universitaria notice.
  • Scholarship Allocation Modalities for European Funds and Conservatoire and MUR Incentives: On departure, an advance payment of the European contribution and the Conservatoire’s incentive is guaranteed as agreed in the Institute/student agreement to be signed before the start of the mobility period.
IMPORTANT: The submission of the final documentation and the completion of the EUSurvey questionnaire will be considered as the beneficiary’s request for payment of the balance of the contribution due. In the event of cancellation, withdrawal or termination without a valid reason, and in the case of the acquisition of less than the minimum 6 (six) credits required, the beneficiary shall be required to repay the entire advance payment and shall not be entitled to any scholarship.

Student mobility for traineeships

The Erasmus+ Programme gives students access to placements in companies, training and research centres (excluding European institutions or organisations running European programmes) in one of the countries participating in the Programme.

The Erasmus student, who receives an ad hoc Community grant for the placement period, has the opportunity to acquire specific skills and a better understanding of the socio-economic culture of the host country, with the support of preparatory or refresher courses in the language of the host country (or in the working language), with the ultimate aim of fostering the mobility of young workers throughout Europe.

Prior to departure, each Erasmus student must be in possession of a work programme (Training Agreement) signed by the beneficiary, the higher education institution to which they belong and the host organisation.

  • Each student may benefit from a traineeship grant within each cycle of their studies for a total of 12 months (minimum period: 2 months).
  • Newly graduated students (traditional previous system and academic system) must carry out and complete the traineeship period no later than 12 months after obtaining their degree.
  • Students applying for traineeship mobility must present a letter of acceptance from the institution (training and research centres, companies) when submitting their application.

The traineeship period must be covered by a training agreement signed by the beneficiary and the sending higher education institution or consortium.

The traineeship can take place before, after or at the same time as a ‘traditional’ Erasmus mobility.
